How does ForkFox rank dishes?
Our AI analyzes thousands of data points for each dish, including review text, flavor descriptors, photos, and restaurant attributes. We look at what people consistently praise or criticize about specific dishes rather than general restaurant ratings. The result is a dish-level ranking that tells you where to find the best version of what you're craving.
How do I create an account?
You can sign up using your email address or use Sign in with Apple for a quick, private setup. Once signed in, you'll be guided through a short taste preference quiz that helps us personalize your rankings. You can update your preferences at any time from the Profile tab.
What dishes are currently supported?
We currently rank biryani, dosa, ramen, tacos, sushi, pad thai, Neapolitan pizza, Ethiopian food, and Burmese food. We're actively working on adding more cuisines and dishes. If there's something you'd love to see, let us know at hello@forkfox.ai.
Why does the app need my location?
We use your location only while you're using the app to show you top-ranked dishes at nearby restaurants. We never track your location in the background, and you can always search for dishes in any area manually without granting location access.
How do I report an incorrect ranking or wrong restaurant info?
If you notice something off, tap the three-dot menu on any restaurant or dish card and select "Report an Issue." You can describe the problem and our team will investigate. You can also email us directly at hello@forkfox.ai with details.
Is ForkFox free to use?
Yes, ForkFox is free to download and use. You get full access to all dish rankings, restaurant details, and personalized recommendations at no cost.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from the Profile tab by tapping "Delete Account." This will permanently remove your account, taste preferences, and all associated data from our systems. If you have trouble, email us at hello@forkfox.ai and we'll take care of it.
The app isn't showing restaurants in my area. What should I do?
Make sure location permissions are enabled for ForkFox in your device settings (Settings > ForkFox > Location > While Using the App). If you're in an area where we don't have coverage yet, try searching for a specific city. We're expanding coverage continuously.
